Agora Competitions Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Our competitions are UK prize competitions of skill under the Gambling Act 2005 - they are not lotteries and do not require a gambling licence.

Section 2

How our draws work

Every competition page tells you the entry price, closing date, prize, entry cap (if any) and the winner selection method before you enter.

  • Entries are validated against payment, eligibility, entry limits and - where applicable - a correct answer to the skill question.
  • Draws use a verifiably random process (typically an RNG, live draw or independently supervised method).
  • We keep draw evidence - entry lists, draw logs, recordings and audit output - so results can be independently checked.
  • Where a draw is streamed live, the platform and time are stated on the competition page or announcement.

Section 3

Free entry route

Every paid competition has a free postal entry route. Free entries are pooled with paid entries and have the same chance of winning.

  • Send a postcard with your full name, address, date of birth, email, the competition name and your answer to the skill question.
  • We do not charge to enter free, do not require purchase to win and do not disadvantage postal entrants in the draw.

Section 4

How prizes are funded

We currently offer cash prizes and site credit prizes:

  • Cash prizesPaid by bank transfer from the company bank account held by Agora Competitions Ltd.
  • Site creditApplied directly to the verified winner’s Agora Competitions account.

Section 5

How winners are selected & verified

  1. 1Entries close at the time shown on the competition page.
  2. 2Valid entries are compiled into an entry list.
  3. 3A winner is drawn using the stated method.
  4. 4The winner is contacted using the details on their account.
  5. 5We verify identity, age, address, account ownership and - for cash prizes - bank account ownership before releasing the prize.

Refunds & complaints

You can contact us at any time at complaints@agoracompetitions.co.uk or support@agoracompetitions.co.uk.

  • We acknowledge complaints within 3 working days.
  • We aim to provide a substantive response within 8 weeks.
  • Where a competition is cancelled or a material error affects your entry, we may issue a refund, site credit or re-run the draw.
  • If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may escalate to an alternative dispute resolution provider or to Trading Standards.

Section 7

Responsible play

Prize competitions should be fun. If entering ever stops being fun, we want to help.

  • You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to enter.
  • You can set deposit, spend or entry limits on your account.
  • You can request a cooling-off period or self-exclusion by emailing support@agoracompetitions.co.uk.
  • Free support is available from GamCare and BeGambleAware.

Fairness, fraud & account safety

We use automated and manual checks to detect duplicate accounts, bot activity, payment fraud and abuse. Entries created through fraud or breach of our Acceptable Use policy may be voided without refund.
