Free Entry Route
Last updated: 15 July 2026
1. Overview
Some Agora Competitions Ltd competitions can be entered without paying us.
Where a competition has a free entry route, you may enter by ordinary post. A valid free entry has the same chance of winning as a valid paid entry for the same competition.
The free entry route is not a prize claiming route. It is an alternative way to enter before a competition closes.
2. Postal free entry address
Send your postal free entry to:
Agora Competitions Ltd Free Entry
2a Rochdale Road, Bacup, England, OL13 9NZ
Use ordinary first class or second class post only. Do not use special delivery, recorded delivery, courier delivery or any premium postal service unless we expressly say otherwise.
3. What to include
Each postal free entry must clearly include:
- Your full legal name.
- Your date of birth.
- Your full postal address.
- Your email address.
- Your telephone number.
- The exact name of the competition you want to enter.
- Your answer to the competition question, if the competition has one.
- A statement that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Example statement:
I confirm that I am aged 18 or over, I am eligible to enter, and I have read and accept the Agora Competitions Ltd Terms and Conditions.
4. One entry per postal item
Each postal free entry must be sent separately.
If you put multiple free entries in the same envelope or postal item, we may count them as one entry only.
You may send multiple free entries for the same competition only if:
- The competition page allows multiple entries.
- You do not exceed the maximum entries per person.
- Each entry is sent separately.
- Each entry is received before the competition closes.
5. Closing date
Your postal free entry must be received by us before the competition closes.
Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. We are not responsible for entries that are delayed, lost, damaged, incomplete, illegible, delivered to the wrong address or received after the closing date.
You should allow enough time for ordinary post to arrive.
6. Entry limits
Free entries are subject to the same entry limits as paid entries unless the competition page says otherwise.
Entry limits may apply per person, account, household, email address, telephone number or postal address.
Attempts to bypass entry limits may result in disqualification.
7. Equal chance of winning
Each valid free entry has the same chance of winning as each valid paid entry in the same competition.
Free entries will be included in the same winner selection process as paid entries, subject to eligibility, correct answer where applicable, entry limits and receipt before the closing date.
Instant win competitions are open to free postal entry. A valid postal entry received before the competition closes will be included in the same instant win allocation process as a valid paid entry and will have the same chance of winning.
8. Competition questions
If a competition requires a question to be answered, your postal free entry must include your answer.
If your answer is incorrect, missing, unclear or illegible, your entry may be disqualified.
We may not confirm receipt of postal entries or confirm whether your answer is correct before the draw.
9. Incomplete or invalid free entries
A postal free entry may be rejected if it:
- Is received after the closing date.
- Is incomplete.
- Is illegible.
- Does not identify the competition clearly.
- Does not include required contact details.
- Does not include a required competition answer.
- Is sent in bulk with multiple entries in one envelope.
- Appears to be automatically generated or mass produced.
- Appears to be submitted by someone under 18.
- Exceeds entry limits.
- Breaches the Terms and Conditions.
10. No purchase required
Where the free entry route is available, no purchase is required to enter or win.
You do not need to buy an online entry to use the postal free entry route.
11. No acknowledgement
We may not acknowledge receipt of postal free entries.
If your postal free entry is valid and received in time, it will be entered into the relevant competition.
12. Changes to free entry details
If we need to change the free entry address or instructions, we will publish the updated details on this page and, where relevant, on competition pages.
Changes will not be made in a way that unfairly disadvantages entrants who have already submitted valid free entries.
13. Questions
For questions about free entry, contact support@agoracompetitions.co.uk before sending your entry.
Skill Question and Prize Competition Explanation
Last updated: 7 July 2026
1. Why some competitions include a question
Some Agora Competitions Ltd competitions may require entrants to answer a question before they can be entered into the draw.
The question may test knowledge, skill or judgement. The competition page will explain whether a question is required.
2. What happens if a question is required
Where a question is required:
- You must answer the question correctly unless the competition page states otherwise.
- Only valid entries with the correct answer will be included in the draw.
- Incorrect, missing, unclear or illegible answers may be disqualified.
- Postal free entries must include the answer if a question applies.
3. Paid entry and free entry
Even where a question is used, we may also provide a free entry route.
Where a free entry route is available, a valid free entry has the same chance of winning as a valid paid entry.
The free entry route exists so that people can choose to participate without paying us, subject to the published entry instructions, deadlines and limits.
4. Questions must be genuine
A competition question should not be misleading, impossible or unfair.
Where a competition is intended to operate as a prize competition based on skill, judgement or knowledge, the question or task must be meaningful enough to meet the legal test. Where a competition is structured as a prize draw, we will make the free entry route clear and prominent.
5. Question changes
We may correct or replace a question if:
- The question contains an error.
- The answer options are wrong.
- The question is unclear.
- The question is unfair.
- A technical issue affects the question.
- A legal or compliance reason requires a change.
If we make a material change after entries have opened, we will take reasonable steps to preserve fairness. This may include accepting multiple answers, refunding affected entries, cancelling the competition or taking another fair action.
6. Answer confirmation
For online paid entries, we may confirm whether your answer is correct during or after checkout.
For postal free entries, we may not confirm receipt of your entry and may not confirm whether your answer is correct before the draw.
7. Multiple choice questions
Some questions may be multiple choice.
If a multiple choice question is used for a prize draw, the free entry route will still be available where required or where we choose to provide one.
8. Fairness
We may disqualify entries where we reasonably believe a person has manipulated, automated, shared, scraped or otherwise abused the question process.
This includes attempts to submit mass entries, use bots, exploit website code, bypass checkout, create multiple accounts or interfere with fair administration.
9. Customer support
If you believe a question contains an error, contact support@agoracompetitions.co.uk before entering if possible.
If the issue is discovered after entry, contact us as soon as possible with your order number, competition name and explanation.
