1. Our position
Agora Competitions Ltd competitions are intended to be a form of entertainment.
You should only enter competitions if you can afford to do so and if participation remains enjoyable, controlled and proportionate.
You should not enter competitions as a way to make money, solve financial problems, recover losses or manage debt.
2. Age restriction
You must be 18 or over to enter our competitions.
We may require proof of age before accepting entries, awarding prizes or releasing cash prizes.
If we discover that an entrant is under 18, we may close the account, void entries and withhold prizes.
3. Warning signs
You should consider stopping or reducing participation if:
- You spend more than you planned.
- You chase losses or previous spending.
- You enter competitions using money needed for bills, rent, food or family costs.
- You hide your spending from others.
- You borrow money to enter competitions.
- You feel anxious, angry, guilty or distressed about entering.
- You feel unable to stop.
- Competitions affect work, relationships, sleep or wellbeing.
4. Practical controls
You can use practical controls to keep participation safe, including:
- Set a monthly entertainment budget.
- Decide your limit before viewing competitions.
- Do not enter when upset, tired, stressed or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Do not store payment cards if you struggle to control spending.
- Avoid marketing messages if they encourage impulse entries.
- Take breaks from the website.
- Ask us to close or restrict your account.
5. Account closure
You can ask us to close your account by contacting support@agoracompetitions.co.uk.
Account closure means you may lose access to your account dashboard. We may retain records where required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, accounting, complaint or competition administration purposes.
If you have active entries when you ask for closure, tell us whether you want to remain eligible for those draws or withdraw where possible. Withdrawal may not entitle you to a refund.
6. Cooling off
You can ask us to apply a cooling off period to your account.
A cooling off period may temporarily prevent you from entering competitions or receiving marketing.
Available cooling off periods may include:
- 24 hours.
- 7 days.
- 30 days.
- A custom period we agree with you.
7. Self exclusion style restriction
You can ask us to restrict your account for a longer period if you feel competitions are causing harm.
During a restriction, we may:
- Block new entries.
- Stop marketing messages.
- Prevent account reopening during the restriction period.
- Keep records needed to enforce the restriction.

8. Marketing suppression
You can opt out of marketing at any time.
Marketing opt out options include:
- Email unsubscribe links.
- SMS STOP reply, where available.
- Account preferences.
- Contacting support@agoracompetitions.co.uk.
If you request responsible play restrictions, we may also suppress marketing even if you do not separately unsubscribe.
9. No credit
We do not offer credit for entering competitions.
You should not borrow money, use unauthorised overdrafts, use high cost credit or use money needed for essentials to enter competitions.
10. Support
If competition participation is causing harm, consider speaking to a trusted person or contacting an independent support organisation.
Support may be available through organisations such as GamCare, the National Gambling Helpline, Citizens Advice, StepChange or other debt and wellbeing services.
11. Vulnerable customers
If you tell us that you are vulnerable or at risk of harm, we may take reasonable steps to support you, such as:
- Closing your account.
- Restricting access.
- Suppressing marketing.
- Signposting to support.
- Handling contact with additional care.
