You may need an account to enter competitions online.
You agree that:
- Your account information must be accurate, complete and kept up to date.
- You must use your own name and contact details.
- You must not create multiple accounts.
- You must not allow another person to use your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

- Whether the draw is guaranteed.
- Entry price.
- Total number of entries or tickets available.
- Maximum entries per person.
- Opening date and closing date.
- Draw date and draw method.
- When the draw will take place after the competition closes.
- Number of winners.

- Cash payment or site credit arrangements.
- Any restrictions, exclusions or extra conditions.
You should read the full competition page and these Terms and Conditions before entering.

You are responsible for checking:
- The competition you are entering.
- The number of entries selected.
- The entry price.
- Your answer to any competition question.
- Your contact details.
- Your payment details.
An online entry is not valid until payment has been authorised and we have accepted the entry. We may reject or void entries where payment is refused, reversed, charged back, suspected to be fraudulent or linked to a breach of these terms.
9. Free entry route
Where a competition has a free entry route, you may enter without paying us by following the instructions on the Free Entry Route page and the relevant competition page.

- Your email address.
- Your telephone number.
- The exact name of the competition you wish to enter.
- Your answer to the competition question, if one applies.
- Confirmation that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions.
Each free entry must be sent separately. Bulk entries in the same envelope will be treated as one entry unless the relevant competition page expressly says otherwise.
Free entries must be received before the competition closes. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. We are not responsible for postal delays, lost post, illegible entries, incomplete entries or entries received after the closing date.
Valid free entries will have the same chance of winning as valid paid entries.
Instant win competitions are also open to free postal entry. A valid postal entry received before the competition closes will be included in the same instant win allocation process as a valid paid entry and will have the same chance of winning.
10. Competition questions
Where a competition question is used, you must provide the correct answer to be entered into the draw unless the competition page states otherwise.
If your answer is incorrect, incomplete, unclear or not received, your entry may be disqualified. Whether refunds are available in those circumstances is covered by our Refunds and Cancellations Policy.
We may change, remove or replace a competition question before a competition opens. Once a competition is live, we will only make changes where reasonably necessary to fix an error, comply with law, preserve fairness or respond to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
11. Entry limits
Each competition may have:
- A maximum number of total entries.
- A maximum number of entries per person.
- A maximum number of entries per household.
- A maximum number of entries per payment card.
- A maximum number of entries by free entry route.
- A closing time that may occur before all entries are sold.
Entry limits apply across paid and free entries unless the competition page states otherwise.
If you attempt to exceed an entry limit, use multiple accounts, use another person’s account or otherwise manipulate entry limits, we may void some or all of your entries without refund.
12. Invalid entries
We may reject, void or disqualify entries that are:
- Received after the closing date.
- Incomplete, illegible or inaccurate.
- Submitted by someone under 18.
- Submitted by someone outside the eligible territory.
- Submitted using false details.
- Submitted using a duplicate account.
- Generated by bots, scripts, automated tools or bulk entry services.
- Linked to payment fraud, chargebacks or unauthorised card use.
- Linked to harassment, abuse, threats or misconduct.
- Otherwise contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
13. Closing dates and changes
Each competition will run for the period stated on the competition page.
Unless the competition page states otherwise, we aim to complete the draw and make first contact with the winner within 30 minutes of the competition closing.
We will not extend a competition simply to sell more entries. We may change a closing date, draw date or competition schedule only where reasonably necessary, including where there is a technical issue, supplier issue, legal issue, payment issue, force majeure event, error in the competition page or other circumstance outside our reasonable control.
Where we make a material change, we will publish the change on the website and, where appropriate, contact affected entrants.
14. Winner selection
Winners will be selected using the method stated on the competition page and our Winner Selection and Draw Process page.
Depending on the competition type, winner selection may use:
- A verifiably random computer process.
- A live random draw.
- An independently supervised process.
- An instant win allocation process.
- Another fair and transparent process described on the competition page.
We may publish entry lists, ticket numbers, draw results, winner details and draw recordings to show that a valid award took place, subject to our Winners and Publicity Policy and Privacy Notice.
15. Winner notification
We will contact winners using the email address, telephone number or account details provided.
Unless the competition page states otherwise, we aim to make first contact with the winner within 30 minutes of the competition closing or draw being completed.
You are responsible for keeping your contact details accurate. We are not responsible if you miss a notification because your details are wrong, outdated, inaccessible or blocked by your email or phone settings.
Unless the competition page states otherwise, a winner must respond within 14 calendar days of our first notification. If the winner does not respond, fails verification, refuses the prize, is disqualified or cannot accept the prize, we may select an alternative winner from the valid entries.
16. Prizes
The prize for each competition is described on the competition page. We currently offer cash prizes and site credit prizes.
Prize descriptions and values are provided in good faith. Prizes are non transferable and cannot be exchanged unless we expressly agree otherwise.
17. Cash prizes
Cash prizes will only be paid to the verified winner.
Unless the competition page states otherwise, we aim to pay cash prizes within 48 hours after the winner has responded, been verified and provided valid bank details.
We may require evidence that the nominated bank account belongs to the winner, or is a joint account held by the winner. We will not pay cash prizes to third party accounts unless we decide otherwise in exceptional circumstances.
If a winner fails to provide suitable bank details, proof of identity or proof of account ownership within the timeframe we specify, we may disqualify the winner and select an alternative winner.
18. Site credit prizes
Site credit prizes are applied to the verified winner’s Agora Competitions account. The competition page will explain the credit amount and any applicable expiry date, entry limits or other restrictions.
Site credit cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another person unless we expressly state otherwise.
19. Publicity and winner information
We may publish limited winner information to show that a valid award took place. This may include:
- First name or surname.
- County, town or region.
- Ticket number.
- Prize won.
- Photograph or video, where agreed or where reasonably required for promotional content.
You may object to publication of your personal information by contacting privacy@agoracompetitions.co.uk before the draw or as soon as possible after winning. Even where you object, we may still need to provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority, regulators, law enforcement, payment providers or other competent bodies where required.
See our Winners and Publicity Policy and Privacy Notice for more detail.
20. Refunds and cancellations
Refunds are handled under our Refunds and Cancellations Policy.
Unless that policy or applicable law says otherwise, entries are generally not refundable once submitted, processed and entered into a live competition.
We may refund or void entries where there has been a duplicate payment, payment processing error, competition cancellation, material website error or other circumstance where we consider a refund appropriate.
21. Responsible play
Competitions should be entered for entertainment only.
You should not enter competitions if doing so causes financial pressure, emotional distress, conflict, debt or other harm. You may contact us to request account closure, marketing suppression, cooling off or self exclusion style restrictions.
See our Responsible Play Policy for more detail.
22. Fraud, abuse and fair use
We may suspend accounts, void entries, withhold prizes, refuse refunds, block payment methods or report activity to relevant parties where we reasonably suspect:
- Fraud.
- Money laundering.
- Underage entry.
- Duplicate accounts.
- Bot activity.
- VPN misuse.
- Payment card misuse.
- Chargeback abuse.
- Harassment or threats.
- Manipulation of competition systems.
- Any other breach of these terms.
See our Account, Fraud and Fair Use Policy for more detail.
23. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider or another provider we appoint.
We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems. Payment providers may process payment information under their own terms and privacy notices.
If a payment is reversed, charged back, disputed or suspected to be unauthorised, we may void associated entries and suspend the account while we investigate.
24. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
We may process your personal data to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Process entries and payments.
- Administer competitions.
- Verify winners.
- Deliver prizes.
- Prevent fraud.
- Handle support and complaints.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Send marketing where permitted.
25. Marketing
We may send service messages about your account, entries, payments, competitions and prizes. These are not marketing messages and may be necessary to provide our services.
We will only send direct marketing where we have a lawful basis to do so. You can opt out of marketing using unsubscribe links or by contacting us.
See our Marketing and SMS Terms and Privacy Notice for more detail.
26. Website availability
We aim to keep the website available, secure and accurate. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades, security, compliance or technical reasons.
We are not responsible for failed entries caused by internet outages, device issues, browser issues, payment provider downtime, postal delays, third party platform failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
27. Intellectual property
The website, brand, logos, content, images, text, designs, software, data, graphics and other materials are owned by us or our licensors.
You may use the website for personal, lawful participation in competitions. You must not copy, scrape, reproduce, reverse engineer, sell, exploit or misuse our content or systems without permission.
28. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, we are not liable for:
- Losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.
- Business losses.
- Loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or opportunity.
- Loss caused by your breach of these terms.
- Loss caused by third party providers, postal services or internet providers.

- A clear description of the issue.
- Any supporting evidence.
We will handle complaints under our Complaints Policy.
30. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website. Changes will not normally affect entries already submitted unless the change is required by law, required to preserve fairness, required for security or necessary due to an error or circumstance outside our reasonable control.
31. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
