Account, Fraud and Fair Use Policy

1. Purpose
This policy explains the rules that protect Agora Competitions Ltd, entrants, winners and the fairness of our competitions.
It applies to accounts, entries, payments, free entries, promotions, referrals, draws, prize claims and website use.
2. One account per person
You may create and use one account only.
You must not:
- Create multiple accounts.
- Use another person’s account.
- Allow another person to use your account.
- Create accounts using false details.
- Create accounts to bypass entry limits.
- Create accounts to claim promotions repeatedly.
If we identify duplicate accounts, we may merge, suspend, close or restrict them and void associated entries.
3. Accurate information
You must provide accurate and current information.
This includes:
- Name.
- Date of birth.
- Email address.
- Telephone number.
- Address.
- Payment details.
- Bank details for cash prizes.
False, misleading or incomplete information may lead to disqualification.
4. Prohibited entry methods
You must not submit entries through:
- Bots.
- Scripts.
- Automated tools.
- Bulk entry services.
- Scrapers.
- Exploits.
- Manipulated requests.
- Unauthorised API calls.
- Any method that bypasses the normal website or free entry process.
5. VPNs and location masking
You must not use VPNs, proxies, device spoofing, location spoofing or similar methods to bypass eligibility rules, entry limits, fraud controls or access restrictions.
Using a VPN for ordinary privacy is not automatically prohibited, but if it interferes with fair administration or verification, we may restrict entries or request further checks.
6. Payment misuse
You must not:
- Use a stolen card.
- Use a card without permission.
- Use another person’s payment method to hide your identity.
- Use payment methods linked to fraud.
- Raise false chargebacks.
- Attempt to reverse valid payments after entering.
- Use payment exploits or discount abuse.
Payment misuse may result in account closure, voided entries, prize withholding, referral to payment providers and reporting to authorities.
7. Chargeback abuse
If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your account and entries while the issue is investigated.
If a chargeback is upheld or payment is reversed, we may void associated entries.
Repeated or abusive chargebacks may lead to a permanent account ban.
8. Free entry abuse
You must not abuse the free entry route.
Examples include:
- Mass produced entries.
- Entries sent using false identities.
- Entries using duplicate details.
- Entries exceeding published limits.
- Entries designed to bypass one entry per envelope rules.
- Illegible or incomplete entries designed to disrupt processing.
We may reject invalid or abusive free entries.
9. Promotional abuse
You must not misuse promotions, discounts, credits, referrals or bonus entries.
Examples include:
- Referring yourself.
- Creating fake accounts.
- Using temporary email addresses to claim repeated offers.
- Selling promotional codes.
- Exploiting pricing errors.
- Using scripts to claim limited offers.
We may remove promotional benefits, void entries or close accounts where promotions are abused.
10. Harassment and abusive behaviour
You must not abuse, threaten, harass, discriminate against or intimidate our staff, suppliers, winners, other entrants or community members.
This applies through email, phone, social media, reviews, live streams, direct messages and any other channel.
We may restrict contact, close accounts, void entries or report serious abuse.
11. Security misuse
You must not:
- Attempt unauthorised access to our website, systems, accounts or databases.
- Introduce malware, viruses or harmful code.
- Attack the website through denial of service or similar methods.
- Probe, scan or test vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Interfere with payment, entry, draw or verification systems.
- Reverse engineer or scrape our platform.
Security misuse may be reported to law enforcement.
12. Investigations
Where we suspect breach of this policy, we may:
- Review account data.
- Review entries.
- Review payment data.
- Review technical logs.
- Request identity verification.
- Request payment ownership evidence.
- Restrict the account.
- Suspend entries.
- Delay prize release.
- Contact payment providers or other relevant parties.
13. Actions we may take
Depending on the issue, we may:
- Warn you.
- Reject entries.
- Void entries.
- Remove promotional credits.
- Suspend your account.
- Close your account.
- Refuse refunds.
- Withhold prizes pending verification.
- Disqualify you.
- Block payment methods.
- Block devices, IP addresses or addresses.
- Report activity to relevant authorities.

1. Purpose
This policy sets out acceptable and prohibited use of the Agora Competitions Ltd website, accounts, competitions, community spaces, live streams, emails, support channels and social media interactions.
2. You must use the website lawfully
You must use our website and services only for lawful purposes.
You must not use the website in any way that breaches applicable law, regulation, court order, intellectual property rights, data protection rights, payment rules or competition rules.
3. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Create duplicate accounts.
- Enter while under 18.
- Enter from a location where entry is unlawful.
- Use false identity details.
- Use another person’s payment method without permission.
- Use another person’s account.
- Submit entries for someone else without permission.
- Submit automated, scripted or bulk entries.
- Bypass entry limits.
- Manipulate competition questions, checkout, payments or draw systems.
- Harass, threaten or abuse staff, winners, entrants or suppliers.
- Publish false or misleading claims about competitions or winners.
- Interfere with live draws or social media channels.
- Upload harmful, unlawful, defamatory, obscene or discriminatory content.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Scrape, crawl or harvest website data.
- Reverse engineer website code or APIs.
- Attempt unauthorised access to systems, accounts or data.
- Introduce malware, viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or harmful code.
- Launch denial of service attacks or similar attacks.
- Use the website to facilitate fraud, money laundering or illegal activity.
4. User content standards
Any content you send, upload, post or tag us in must be:
- Lawful.
- Accurate where it states facts.
- Genuinely held where it states opinions.
- Respectful.
- Relevant.
- Free from threats, harassment, discrimination, hate speech, explicit content and unlawful material.
We may remove or report content that breaches this policy.
5. Social media and live draws
When interacting with our social media or live draw content, you must not:
- Spam comments.
- Harass winners or entrants.
- Post personal data about another person.
- Make threats.
- Impersonate us or another person.
- Claim falsely that you have won.
- Post malicious links.
- Interfere with the draw process.
We may block, mute, report or restrict users who breach these standards.
6. Security reporting
If you discover a security issue, contact security@agoracompetitions.co.uk if available, or support@agoracompetitions.co.uk.
Do not exploit the issue, access data, disrupt systems, publish details or attempt further testing without written permission.
7. Consequences of breach
If you breach this policy, we may:
- Issue a warning.
- Remove content.
- Restrict support contact.
- Suspend or close your account.
- Void entries.
- Remove promotional credit.
- Withhold prizes pending investigation.
- Disqualify you.
- Block access.
- Report activity to payment providers, platforms, regulators or law enforcement.
- Take legal action.
